Welcome to the Community Corner!
“Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibility …, the one quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility.” – Michael Korda
The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Black MBA Association is comprised of individuals from different walks of life with varying degrees of success. Because of this success, we have a responsibility to the community in which we live and/or work.
As the Community Relations Chair, my goal is to focus on collective agendas of all the various committees within the organization and provide direction with strategic initiatives focused on Economic and Community Development in Philadelphia. Through the use of strategic alliances and collaborative partnerships, I believe that we can achieve this goal and address some major concerns in the community such as education, violence, home ownership and preservation, financial wealth, health awareness and disease prevention.
By working with community partners who understand the needs of individuals, families and organizations in Philadelphia, the NBMBAA will be able to maximize our potential and match our resources with the needs of the community.
The Executive Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the NBMBAA, is proud to bring you Community Corner – where you can find information on how our chapter is impacting the local Community and how you can help, because we each have to take on the responsibility for our community!!
