A Message from our Philadelphia Chapter President
Greetings,
First, I must let you all know that it is a great pleasure serving as the president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. Over the last year, I have met and welcomed many new members, friends and sponsors. With the support of each of you, I see unlimited opportunities for membership growth, as well as enhancements of our key initiatives and programs.
We will continue to remain focused on our mission at hand by leading in the creation of educational opportunities and economic growth for African Americans. In 2011, we will execute the vision of being the “premier business organization serving Black professionals” by continuing with our electrifying programs, workshops and events for all of you: our members, guests and corporate partners. Please know that the sustainability of our chapter depends on all of you! Continue to support our amazing events. Additionally, we invite you to become involved with our volunteer opportunities. I want to acknowledge and thank our executive board for their hard work and countless volunteer hours for the organization. Your commitment to serving the members and partners of the Philadelphia Chapter is greatly appreciated!
If you would like to give back to the community while on your professional path, I encourage participation on our executive board, as well as in our Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Program. The LOT Program brings area high school students together to prepare them for life in college and beyond, as exemplary corporate citizens. Our chapter focuses on developing their business, communication and life skills. The program also brings students and business managers together in a mentoring environment which, in many instances, evolves into a fulfilling, if not life-changing experience for all. If you are interested, please e-mail us at info@nbmbaa-philly.org.
Last, if you are former member, we want you back! Also, if you aren’t a member and you’re interested in advancing your career, giving back to your community or even growing your business, we encourage you to join the Philadelphia Chapter! We look forward to seeing you.
Many Thanks!
